Max Retains Live Sports and News on Standard and Premium Plans

No Extra Cost for Premium Content

Great news for Max subscribers! Live sports and news will continue to be included with Standard and Premium subscriptions at no additional charge. The previously announced B/R Sports Add-On will not be implemented at this time.

JB Perrette, CEO and President of Global Streaming and Games at WBD, explained the decision: "Over the last year plus, we had the opportunity to assess how users engage with sports and news on Max... We believe that the best place for that content for now is within the Standard and Premium tiers."

This move ensures continued access to premium sports and news for subscribers while allowing for continued investment in these offerings.

"This update...also enabling ongoing investment in our premium sports and news portfolio," stated Perrette.

Changes to Basic Plan

While Standard and Premium subscribers retain their access, B/R Sports and CNN Max will no longer be available on the Basic with Ads tier starting March 30th. Users on the Basic plan can find more information on upgrading their subscription at the Max Help Center.
